To create a society where all formerly incarcerated individuals have the opportunity to rebuild their lives, free from the barriers that contribute to recidivism and social exclusion.

Tri Recovering A-gain, based in Chicago, Illinois, is a new dedicated Residential Reentry Center created to provide essential resources and a safe, structured environment for formerly incarcerated individuals as they transition back into society. We focus on delivering housing, mental and physical healthcare, workforce training, educational support, and personal counseling services. These services are crucial in Illinois, where recidivism rates reach approximately 38.5% within three years of release. High re-offense rates reveal a critical gap in support services, which our organization aims to fill by equipping individuals with life skills that foster long-term stability, sobriety, and self-sufficiency. Our organization addresses this gap by offering structured, comprehensive reentry services designed to empower formerly incarcerated individuals to rebuild their lives and reintegrate successfully. By providing temporary housing, mental and physical healthcare, job readiness training, education, and personal counseling, we aim to address the root causes of recidivism.

Our organization supports formerly incarcerated individuals who are in the process of reintegrating into society, especially those on parole or nearing release. We provide assistance to adults facing significant barriers to reentry, including limited access to stable housing, employment, mental healthcare, and social support. Many of these individuals encounter challenges such as housing discrimination, unemployment, and the social stigma of a criminal record, making their reintegration difficult without structured support. Our aim is to assist individuals who lack family support or a stable home, often from economically disadvantaged and under-served communities.

We are dedicated to reducing recidivism and enhancing public safety by offering comprehensive resources, including transitional housing, mental and physical healthcare, job training, educational support, and counseling. The need for comprehensive reentry support services is urgent, as the barriers faced by formerly incarcerated individuals upon release contribute significantly to high recidivism rates and strained public resources. Without stable housing, employment, healthcare, and mental health support, many formerly incarcerated individuals face limited options, which often result in re-incarceration.
